Ye-Sho Chen,the Professor from E.J. Ourso, Visited the School

On June 13th, Ye-Sho Chen from the E.J. Ourso visited the school to exchange information on inter-school cooperation.Dean of the Economics institute Jiang Yuansheng , Vice President Wu Ping and Professor Ye-Sho Chen participated in the discussion. The forum was hosted by Jiang Yuansheng.    

Jiang Yuansheng extended a warm welcome to Professor Ye-Sho Chen's arrival. He introduced the academic development of the college, international exchanges, faculty, and personnel training. He hopes to expand the new model of cooperation with business schools, in teacher exchange, student exchange, scientific research and Deepen cooperation in several aspects such as project development. After friendly consultations, the two sides reached the following cooperation intentions: one is to invite the excellent foreign teachers from E.J. Ourso to teach in our school; the other is to hire Professor Ye-Sho Chen as the professor of the school to provide innovative and entrepreneurial guidance for undergraduates and postgraduates; The cooperation in scientific research, combined with the theory of industrial economics, jointly conducts cooperative research on industrial competitiveness, industrial scale, and industrial frontier. The fourth is to cooperate with the American students to the school to exchange learning projects, based on the college students' internship base, to provide international students with international business internships; fifth, to further explore the cooperation of undergraduate students exchange programs.

Ye-Sho Chen affirmed the internationalization of the Economics institute. He pointed out that under the background of the "One Belt, One Road" international cooperation strategy put forward by President Xi Jinping, China and the United States will have many opportunities for cooperation. By integrating resources and building an efficient cooperation channel, the two sides will achieve a win-win situation in the future.

  After the meeting, Jiang Yuansheng presented Ye-Sho Chen with a letter of appointment from the Visiting Professor of the Economics institute. This symposium laid a good foundation for the follow-up cooperation and exchange between E.J. Ourso and our school.

  Prof. Ye-Sho Chen: Dr. Ye-Sho Chen received his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Purdue University in 1985. He is currently Professor of Management Information Systems at the Department of Information Systems and Decision Sciences at the EJ Ourso. Dr. Chen is also the Globalization director of EJ Ourso . In addition, he is an MBA research professor at James C. & Cherie H. Flores. He received the Teacher's Teaching Award from the Tiger Sports Foundation in 2011 and 2007, the Excellent Teaching Award from the Erich Sternberg Foundation in 1992, and more than 110 papers in various academic journals and conferences.
